Mike Derbyshire and Family Condolences December 4, 2008

We are so sorry for your loss.  Coaching Austin was such a privilege because he was about so much more than football.  He is one of the ones that you always remember.  That so many people from two communities came to pay their respects shows the effect he had on those he met.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

John and Becky Enos Prayers December 4, 2008

Jon, Molly and Brooke,

I am sitting here at my desk right now crying my eyes out for you.  I just now read about the funeral services and am too late to attend.  I wish I could have been there to support you all.  I never got to meet Austin, although from what I have read, he was a wonderful son and a friend to many.  We will be praying for you everyday.  May God comfort you and ease your pain in this difficult time.  If there is anything that our family can do to help in any way please call us at 781-3104.

Kathy Haines and family Tonja's friend and a mom December 4, 2008

Dear Parks,

I know you won't remember me, but I had met and spent time with your family when I was in Tonja's wedding several years ago. I just wanted to send my love to you all during this difficult time. However, my visit was short, the Park family made a lasting impression on me with all of your kindness and sincere love for each other. The love that binds your family is very special and will only help to carry you through this time of loss. Support one another and take each day one at a time. Cherish the memories and know that Austin is watching over you from above. May God bless you all!

The Elliott Family You Are In Our Thoughts and Prayers December 4, 2008

We love you and pray that in this sorrow you may find Christ's peace until you see Austin Jon again in heaven. God bless you.

I feel so compelled to let your family and loved ones know how sorry I am for their loss. We have never met. But i noticed your death in the news.I thought, this young soul that God has taken, must been a very special soul. I pray and thank God for the precious gift he gave to all your family and friends. I thanked Him for the special short time He did give to all of them. It is hard to look at this as blessing, but Jon, you are a gift from God and eventhough we have never met I am blessed by all the love shared on this beautiful memorial site.God Bless your Family and Friends and You!

You will never be forgotten and you will always have your families unconditional love for you deep within their hearts. We will all miss you Austin.
Jacob Wellock A great kid December 4, 2008
I never really got the chance to know you and I regret that to the fullest. Everyday I would see you smiling when it seemed as if somedays the environment around you would be sad or mad, you would never let that get to you. I know when most of us were having a bad day and we would see you smile, you made everyones day around you a little brighter. I know you always made me happier. You will never be forgotten
Tamela Taylor Mother/Community Member December 4, 2008

As a mother and member of this community that we live in, I just wanted you to know that people whom you've never even met  (such as myself) care about what you are going though.  I have a 15 year old son myself.  He struggles with life sometimes.  As a mother I can only imagine the unexplainable loss you are feeling right now.  You live in a community that cares and will stand beside you as you grieve.  I will pray for your family and the difficulties that are before you.  With the strength of God you will endure and Austin will as well.  He is an amazingly handsome and accomplished young man.  You have much to be proud of.

Dear Park Family,

We are so saddened to hear of Austin's passing.  He left this earth too soon.  We still talk about how smart he was.  He really was fun and impressed us all at that dinner in the Parish Hall when he could name the capitols of every country in the world.  No one could stump him!  We are all in tears here.  You are both the best parents he could have had and Brooke the best little sister.  Austin was truly blessed.  God bless you all in the worst possible heartbreak you are experiencing right now.  Take it one day at a time.  There is a new star shining in our skies now.

Julie and David Lundergreen Friends December 4, 2008
Dear Jon, Molly, and Brooke, We share in your grief and we will always miss your precious boy! We remember so many good times out on the football field and at wrestling matches with all of you. I wish sometimes we could turn back the hands of time, but then I remember that God's timing is perfect timing. We love you and pray for you! Peace be with you, Julie, David, Jamie and Daniel Lundergreen

Dear Jon, Molly and Brooke,
We are so saddened to hear about your loss.  We hope that you will find strength, and that the beautiful memories will help get you through this difficult time.  The blessing inside such a loss, as you are undoubtedly finding, is in what happens among those who remain - the unspeakable kindnesses that help buffer the pain.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and hope you will find comfort with your family, friends and memories.

This quote has comforted me in the past and I hope it does the same for you:

" is the only thing that we can carry with us when we go, and it makes the end so easy."  - Louisa May Alcott

We send you our love and prayers,

Austin ~ Where to begin? Surely you can see how much you are loved and missed. You had a positive impact during your time here, and that’s the most any of us can ask for. We have many fond memories of you and your family that will stay in our hearts forever. Your ear-to-ear grin will never be forgotten.
Jon & Molly ~ While we’ve only known you for a short time, we have always been impressed by your level of involvement and love shown towards your children. You are great parents and it shows in your kids. Words can’t describe how our hearts ache for you.
Brooke ~ You’re an exceptional kid and we think the world of you. It is obvious that you and your brother shared a very special relationship. Don’t ever let that go. Stay strong kiddo.  We love you.

I wish I could have seen Austin at least one more time since he moved away from Gardnerville, I will miss him so much.

Words cannot ease the pain in the loss of your son.   What a handsome, strong looking boy Austin was.   I hope that for you to know that he is in heaven and watching over you might give you some peace to ease the days ahead.    Until you meet him again, I pray that God will give you  the strength to go on.

Julia (Derobertis) Crowley Thinking of Austin December 3, 2008
My heart is just breaking for your family. I can't imagine the pain you must be feeling. Annie and I were just talking about our memories from babysitting Austin and Brookie. We always had so much fun with them. And Austin always made me laugh. In fact, I've often told my husband stories of Austin and Brooke even though he's never met them. Ex 23:20 says "See, I a, sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared." I know that Austin is with his angels and they are taking him to a place of great comfort and joy. I am lifting your family up in prayers, always. Love, Julia (Derobertis) Crowley

Words can't take your pain away, but I want you to know that he was loved very much and will never be forgotten.  He was an amazing role model in many ways that I'm sure he didn't realize.  He was a tremendous leader and athlete.  His smile is one that will always be remembered and light up the room.  Austin, I love you and will forever miss you, but will never forget you.  Be the guardian angel above and watch over all of us.  Whenever I'm having a bad day I'll always think of your smile and you will help me get through the tough times.  You will always be the brightest star in the sky.  My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I am very sorry for your loss. I did not know your son...but he seemed like a very special person.

To his Mom, Dad, Sister, Grandparents, Family & Friends:  May it comfort you to know that Austin is now a beautiful Angel who will be with you forever in your hearts strong for Austin.

I pray that Austin is Resting in Peace with our "Bri" (I am family of Bri). Both Austin and Bri were so very young. I have lived long enough and if I could trade places with Austin or Bri just so that the family don't have to be sad... I would.

I will pray for you and God Bless you "all".... R.I.P Austin
