Its been many years but some people you never lose sight of. My family and I are very sorry for your loss and will continue to keep your family in our prayers. Jon and Molly, I did not know Austin, but I see a wonderful child by the letters and pictures on this website.  I am so sorry I missed the service at St. Gall - it really told the story of what a loving family you have and how much Austin and the rest of your family have touched this community.  There is certainly nothing I can do or say to ease the pain of this tremendous loss, but God can.  "He tends his flock like a shepherd, He gathers the lambs in his arms, and carries them close to his heart, He gently leads those that have young."  Isaiah 40:11

The Park Family,Jon hadnt seen u in years but i could never forget that face at jasons gathering.Just want to say how sorry iam for you.I was out in Genoa last week looking for a house when my realtor told me the news,it brought a taer to my eye .I honestly hope every thing will be fine,i know ur a tough son of a b--.Give your wife a hug and a kiss and just remember ther is a God and he knows all.

Jon, Molly, and Brooke: Austin is surely surrounded with loving angels and God is holding his hand. My entire family is grieving for you and I hope that you are all able to find comfort, with God's help. I am so thankful to your family that you asked me to sing at the mass in Gardnerville. Song is the deepest prayer I could offer to you, and it was my tribute to a beautiful, talented, kind, young man. I believe that God placed me where I was supposed to be the other night, and once again, I am praying that you are able to grasp onto some peace. We feel so deeply for you and are so sad that we couldn't be with you at this time.  We remember Austin fondly from the times we both spent with him when he was a little boy.  He was always so smiley and full of energy.  His impact on those around him is obvious from everything written here and said at the services.  In his short 14 years, Austin really mattered.  He will be greatly missed.

Ted and I attended attended the services at St. Gall's church on December 4th.  It was an overwhelming testament to how Austin impacted all who knew him as well as a testament to his dad, mom and sister.  As we listened to all who spoke - it was apparent what a handsome, loving person Austin was.  We hope as Fr. Bill suggested you take advantage of the people around you who were there to support you at such a difficult and painful time.  But, when I see the pictures, it just brings smiles to my face.  We hope that these beautiful memories will help to give you strength through this enormously difficult time.  Love and blessings, Ted and Livi

Hello - I'm soo, very sorry your precious "little boy" had to leave this world - and way too soon. I am a mother who shares the deep pains of loosing a child - way too soon. Only a little over 2 years ago our son died instantly in a motorcycle accident - he was 22. I ran across your article in the newspaper not by chance I don't think - I think it was for a purpose - if you would like to view our son's page please do. Go to www.mem.com and look up the name Noell - he was Michael Noell, Jr. I find your son had a striking similarities to our son - what a beautiful boy. I know you were proud. There is nothing I or anyone else can say at this point to help the pain ease - I went to a support group and it did help - I read books, I spoke to friends, family, co-workers constantly - keep those communication lines open and most of all stay busy if you can. We went to Austin's funeral and it was such an amazing tribute to his life and the kind of person that he was. I loved how you said that yours will ALWAYS be a family of 4.  From our family to yours, we send you our heartfelt condolences. You are in our thoughts and in our prayers, all 4 of you!

My heart goes out to your family.  This makes three of our beloved Carson Valley teens that our valley has lost recently.  This makes me so sad to hear the news.  One of those teens was mine.

I spoke to my niece this am.  She told me about your loss and forwarded the condolences for Austin.  She too, lost her son 2 1/2 yrs ago, he was 21.  What a horrible thing it must be, I do not know, for I never had any children.  But, my niece Kim lost my brother (her Dad) in Feb 06 and her son in Mar of 06, double pain which she does not need.  I pray it gets better for you.  Your son was also a beautiful person, my Gr. nephew was also very, very handsome and loved so much.  Take it one day at a time, and seek group therapy, it works.

We will never forget how kind you were to us when we moved here from CA into the house you sold us on Saddle Court.  You made our family feel welcomed and more comfortable in our new home.  Molly the fresh flowers you left in the kitchen were such a kind and thoughtful gesture. It touched my heart. We can remember Austin & Brooke being so small and sweet showing us all around the house. Then just a few weeks ago when Jon moved into the office space with Mike & us, did a handsome young man, polite, helpful and strong helping move furniture and boxes cross our paths again. Austin was such a great help.  We cannot even begin to understand the pain you are feeling and want you to know that we hope we can return the kindness, the comfort and the support you gave us so willingly.  Our prayers, love and support are here for you and your family.

I will always miss u Austin u were such a great kid.And i just realized that I was born a year and a day before u.I will miss u so much and I love u Austin.

What a special funeral that was today. The wonderful slideshow brought so many tears to our eyes, yet so many smiles as well. Those happy images of Austin will continue to live on in our thoughts and hearts.

Molly, Jon, and Brooke:  For many years I kept Austin's picture that you sent to me after Austin received his First Eucharist.  I always considered the fact that he wrote to thank me for sending him cards during his religious education journey to receive his First Holy Communion such a special treat. 

I remember two years ago at Vacation Bible School "Quest For Truth" how helpful he was with the children.  I know he didn't remember me, but I sure will never forget him.  What a wonderful young man and you are such a special family.

We are so sorry for your loss. Unfortunatley, we didn't get the chance to meet Austin, but our daughter Kaitlin did. She thought the WORLD of him and will miss him so much! Austin was the few who ALWAYS understood how Kaitlin was feeling and cheered her up everytime. We all just loved his beautiful smile and it will be so missed. You are all in our Prayers.

As many have said, we are at a complete loss for words to begin to express our condolences to the entire Park family.  While we never had the pleasure of meeting Austin, it certainly sounds like he was an outstanding individual, and you should be proud of what a generous, compassionate and funny son you raised.  Treasure the wonderful memories you have as they sustain you through the passage of time.  Let peace be with you all.
